Casper List Posting Guidelines
Be Courteous Be courteous and polite to other members of the list. DO NOT use profane, inappropriate, or off-color language. DO NOT post negative or derogatory comments. Respect each person's opinion and level of experience with the software. If your reply is directed to a list member rather than a topic, send a private email to the member instead of posting your reply to the list. Keep it Brief Post only information relevant to the thread. Although the length of your post is not limited, DO NOT include the entire contents of previous emails or lengthy quotes. Be sure to delete any irrelevant or redundant information before sending your reply. Plain Text Mail Send only plain text emails to the list. Emails that include HTML encoding may lose their formatting in transmission and cause excessive carriage returns or malformed text in subsequent replies. Subject Line Consistency When beginning a new topic, choose a subject line that explains the topic clearly. When posting to an existing topic, leave the original subject line in tact. If you receive emails from the list in digest mode, copy the subject line of the topic into the subject line of your email before sending your reply. Keep Threads on Topic Don't post a new topic to an existing thread. Start a new thread if the topic is not already being discussed. DO NOT reply to an old topic and replace the subject and/or message body. Avoid Long Signatures and Disclaimers Avoid including signatures over three lines or lengthy disclaimers in your reply. If your organization requires you to include a disclaimer in outgoing emails, consider using a private email account (such as Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) to post.

Using Casper
To post a message to all the list members, send email to casper@list.jamfsoftware.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Casper
Subscribe to Casper by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
