We would need to have a system on that segment that stays awake to send the packet. On the Windows side here that can be accomplished with Night Watchmen, which is what we use for power management for Windows. To the point that if the one system in that subnet goes down it’s smart enough to wake one up before it goes down first so one system is always there under normal circumstances. We were going to look at a way to feed the information about the Macs network connectivity to it’s database so it could send the packet as well, but the JSS doesn’t collect enough of the network information we need to do it from initial conversation.<BR>

It would be a very helpful tool to have right in the JSS.<BR>
