<div>We needed to find (physically) 2 specific PCs on the network today and all we had was the MAC address. I piped in with the solution of pushing ahead our inventory project using Recon.exe for Windows.</div><div><br></div>
<div>I have used the old emails on this list to successfully run Recon.exe silently on windows using a *.bat file.</div><div><br></div><div>My problem is this, the JSS will only keep one data set for a given machine. I do not know if it is uniquely identifying the machines via MAC addy or serial but about 1000 of our computers are dual-boot machines. If we run Recon.exe the info that was in JSS for Mac OS is replaced with Windows info.</div>
<div><br></div><div>The command even states this behavior "c:\jamf recon -overrideJSS" :(</div><div><br></div><div>I want to append! Anyone have a solution to this? Or do you just run recon at boot for both Mac OS and Windows, thus keeping the JSS up-to-date?</div>
