Hello all,
Fairly new to Composer. A few questions about the procedure.
I have Composer on an External drive that also has Apple Dev tools on it. I boot the image machine to its own hard drive. Take a snapshot, make changes, take snapshot. When saving then as an Apple .pkg (for use with Apple Remote Desktop), I get the messsage that the Apple Dev tools is not installed. It is only looking locally for the Dev tools, not from the External drive that I have them on already.

So I install the Dev tools to the local hard drive, the saving goes through, and the .pkg works just fine.

My question is this: Any machine that you are running as the image machine, will you need to install the Apple Dev tools on? I do not see any other way. Booting from the External is not the answer because how else will you make changes to the local machine's hard drive. Should I be looking at having the Apple Dev tools as a mounted image on that computer?
